Dear TI,

An error occurred while uninstalling
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Uninstall, operand=[R]com.ti.dvt.analysis.traceviewer 4.1.0.201705251038 --> null, action=com.ti.ccstudio.p2.actions.RunCommandAction).
Command failed.

As the last few updates have come it I am unable to install any of them. IT gives me the following error.

Short of uninstalling everything and installing it again, what are my options?

It is currently working perfectly to my knowledge, but it won't allow any updates to be added.

Hi Rob,
Can you provide more details on what you were doing when this error occurred? Did you run the Update Manager and tried installing all updates? Or just a particular update? Was the update the general CCS IDE update?

Also what exact version of CCS are you using?

Hi Rob,
We had a problem with syncing our servers earlier this week, and it was causing this error. You're probably still getting this error because eclipse caches stuff. Try clearing the cache (delete cache folders in eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core and eclipse/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository) after exiting from CCS and then try the update.

I have been having the same issue and clearing the cache folders did not solve it:

This is on version 7.3.0.201708221200, Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

It does not matter which update I try to install, but this is the list of updates:

ARM Compiler Tools   16.9.6
GCC MSP430 tool-chain   7.4.2
MSP430 Compiler Tools   16.9.6
RTSC/XDCtools (IDE Client)   3.50.3.33
TI MSP430 tool-chain   7.4.2

Also running the check for updates gives the following error although it still populates the update list:

No repository found at http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/codegen/Updates/p2mac/.

Hi Alexander,
Unfortunately, your logs show that your previous update to CCS 7.3.0 failed, and so any subsequent updates will give the same error. My recommendation would be to download and install CCS7.3.0 in a fresh folder. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the exactly the same problem. You suggest re-installing CCS and apologize for the inconvenience, but I have a better idea: Fix the installer.
