PowerSuite UI is not opening

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, C2000WARE, POWERSUITE

It is similar to what i am seeing.
This is my screenshot:

I did what you say. Enable grace developer features, kill twice jxbrowser and restart composer. After that, i try to open cfg file and get the same result (see screen above). In Process Explorer i can see either, that when i open cfg, jxbrowser is starting. So i just disable internet connection, and jxbrowser doesn't start then. But it doesn't help.

I found these thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/569770. Their solve problem to setting up "English as a default language" in Windows OS. It doesn't work to me neither at home nor at work.

For the moment, it's enough to me that examples from the controlSuite work with ccs6. Examples from the C2000Ware Digital Power package will be needed later.  I just wanted to see them.
Therefore, this problem is no longer relevant to me.
However, if you need my help in solving this problem, you are welcome. But I suggest creating a separate post for this (or continue there, to which I gave the link) since this is already far from the problem I identified at the beginning.

Regards, Igor.

  • Igor,

I have split the thread and we can use this new one to track the UI issue.

What you seems matches what is in that other thread but is a little different from what I saw (for me the problem has not come back). For me I don't see that PowerSuite bar at the top or the two little tabs at the bottom. Thus I think my issue may have been different.

Thanks for helping us track down what is going on. I am going to speak with some others here and see how we can debug this.

    Regards,
    John
  • Igor,

We have some things to try.

Lets make sure the grace debugging feature is on.
    Window - > Preferences
Expand Code Composer Studio -> Grace in the tree
Check the box "Enable Grace developer features"
Restart CCS to make sure the setting takes place.

Once CCS restarts try to open the .cfg file.
Assuming it is still not loading properly right click on the "PowerSuite" bar at the top.
Click the "Copy URL to the Clipboard" item.
Now open Chrome and paste the url.

    Does that display correctly?

If so you can use it here and it means the issue is likely a conflict between the jxbrowser we are using and SWT.

Thank you for taking the time to work through this with us.

    Regards,
    John
  • Igor,

I am going to close off this thread as we were able to get it working based on the discussion in the other thread: e2e.ti.com/.../642441
