CCS/IWR1642BOOST: Issues downloading the Demo software on CSS on IWR1642

Good morning,

I am working with the IWR1642booster pack and I am trying to start developing using CCS. I am following the xWR16xx_mmw_CSS_Demo.pdf tutorial to get started. However  I am stucked in an intermediate step while downloading the demo files from Resource Explorer. After downloading the demo package with the CSS projects for MSS and DSS I try to import them to IDE (pag 10 of the attached document below), but I get the following error:


  Error: This project requires product 'SYS/BIOS' v6.50.1.12, or equivalent. Please install this product before importing this project.

My problem is that I don't really know where to find that software to be installed. I tried to look for it in the software libraries provided but I found nothing. Is it available somewhere in the mmWave SDK package?

    The mmWave SDK 1.01 installs SYS/BIOS 6.52.00.12

    CCS will typically discover this package automatically the next time it starts (assuming it is installed in the default location). Alternatively you can prompt it to discover the package. In CCS go to Window -> Preferences. Expand Code Composer Studio -> Products. Is Check that the location you installed the SDK into is listed in the discover path at the top. If not click the Add button and specify where you installed it. Then click the Rediscover... button. It will then find the package and later prompt you to restart CCS.

    After I installed the SDK and the training I was able to import the DSS and MSS projects in CCS from Resource Explorer.
