optimization output evaluation

hello
i am new to CCS. iam using optimization in build option but i am not able to analyze how many counts(cycles)
my code is taking while running on a target.I am also not able to analyze value of output variable. how can i tackle problemto meet
my timing requirement

If you are running on a simulator, you can use the CCS profiler:

If you are running on actual hardware, you can use the profile clock to count cycles (Under 'Target->Clock' in the Debug perspective).

By looking at your tags, I see that you are using CCS 3.1. My response was assuming v4.

You can still use the CCS profiler on simulators and the profile clock on HW. How to use both are documented in the CCS help that ships with the product.

yes, i am using CCS3.1....

i didn't get any solution for finding cycles while running code on target.how can i approach?

Take a look at the on-line documentation ('Help->Contents') and search for 'profile'. You should be able to find the information you need.
