I understand that simulator are no longer supported with CCS7.

Yet, I found the following pdf for obtaining simulator with ccs6:

Is there a chance that it will work with CCS7?

I am using TMS320C6748 device. I understand that there is no guarantee...

    Hello,
    Note the the document is not from TI and hence not verified. My own personal opinion is that it *should* work in v7 also but, as you mentioned, there is no guarantee. Use at your own risk .
