Missing RTSC tab from "CCS Build" page

CCS4.1.3.00038, DSP/BIOS 6

Created a new CCS project, Enable RTSC support for DSP/BIOS 6, Create a new RTSC Configuration project, (tried both with & without a template)

In past projects there was a RTSC tab on the CCS Build page in the project Properties.  But now it is gone... I have tried at least a dozen times to create  a new project, each time si the same result.

This tab allows configuring which package is used in my project.  Considering all of the problems I have encountered just trying to accomplish very basic tasks, I expect to install and switch to numerous updates. I need this tab (I think...)

Any ideas?

  • The RTSC tab still exists. It is part of the CCS Build properties for the RTSC Config project (not the main project). Are you looking at the config project?

  • No, I was looking at the CCS Project.  That makes sense...sort of...  I am comparing this to another CCS Project which has a separate Configuration Project - the RTSC tab appears in that CCS Project.  Not sure how that one was created.  I asumed that the RTSC tab should be there.  Apparently, the tab should not be there making the other project a fluke.

    Thanks.

  • In early CCSv4, RTSC files were part of main project, then it was split up to have two different projects. Main projects that contains user files and RTSC configuration project that contains just RTSC files. The idea was to allow re-use or RTSC config projects. Current, CCS 4.1x supports both modes internally for backwards compatibility, even though there is no option that allows to create single project. In CCSv4.2 by default will use single project mode but there will be an option to create a dedicated RTSC config project and then set up a project dependency(reference) between the two.
