CCS/CC2640: Can't install TI-RTOS into CCS

I'm running CCS 6.2.0.00050 on Windows 10 and trying to install TI-RTOS 2.18.0.3 (for 13xx and 26xx). TI-RTOS is in its default location, under C:\ti. I go to Window->Preferences, select CCS->Products and click the Rediscover button. In addition to several versions of xdctools, it shows C:\ti\tirtos_cc13xx_cc26xx_2_18_00_03, but it's grayed out with a red X in front of it, and I can't select it to install. If it matters, both CCS and TI-RTOS were previously installed and working on this PC. I ran into a build problem that I couldn't resolve, so I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling everything (CCS, BLE SDK and TI-RTOS).

Hi Dave,
It sounds like some caching issue since you had it installed and discovered previously. I'll need to check with the engineers on Monday.

Are you using the CC2640 or the newer CC2640R2?

What is the error message when you hover over the TI-RTOS with your mouse cursor?

Hi Baltasar. In the "Install Discovered Products" window, I don't get an error when I mouse over "C:\ti\tirtos_cc13xx_cc26xx_2_18_00_03". It's just grayed out with a red X in front of it.

Dave, you should see an error message when hovering over the TI-RTOS node.

One case when an error would be displayed is if you do not have any XDCtools installed and registered with CCS. Try to register your XDCtools first, then restart CCS.

Never mind, Baltasar, I got it working. The problem was that I didn't have xdctools installed. I wasn't told that I needed xdctools because I downloaded TI-RTOS 2_18_00_03 with my web browser directly from TI's website, because it isn't available in Resource Explorer. After I downloaded xdctools, I could discover and install both it and TI-RTOS.
