Need Licence server for ccs4

I am running an undergraduate laboratory here at Imeprial College consisting of 200 DSk6713 units, using CCS4 and Windows 7.

The free Licence works fine with the hardware.

I need to set up a licence server with the free licence so that we can run the undergraduate laboratory.

I have tried contacting a "university support" email but they seem to be ignoring my emails.  Can you help me withthis issue? I don't have much time left to set this up.

regards

Daniel Harvey

  • Daniel,

I am not sure if you can set up a license server using a single Bundled License file, since in nature it is node-locked (and you may violate its license agreement). With 200 computers, I understand this how tedious and difficult this process can become, but unfortunately I don't think we have a solution for this particular case.

If your dev boards came with CCSv4, then the installation CD comes pre-configured for a Bundle License, but I don't think this is the case for DSK6713.

I will let you know if there are any alternatives to this.

    Best regards,

    Rafael

    Rafael,

Thanks for the quick reply. The development boards came with CCS version 3.1, we have spent the summer getting the code and libraries modified to work with V4.

Would it be possible to obtain a licence server under some other licence, for free? After all, this laboratory at Imperial College is good marketing for your company, it is likely our students will go into the industry wanting to use and buy your devices and tools.

We would also be prepared to endorse the lab with a title such as TI DSP lab and put up some posters if you wish.

    regards
