CCS: Installation fails due to Symatic Anti-Virus running

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

My corporate policy is to always have Symantic anti-virus running on my PC.   I am blocked from turning it off.   The CCS installtion check keeps me from installing CCS with the  following message.   Is there an installation  command line option to turn off this check?

Anti-Virus Check -> We have detected you are running anti-virus software on this computer. To ensure no problems occur during the installation, it is highly recommended that real-time file scanning be turned off before proceeding with the installation.

  • Hi David,
The message is a blanket warning and recommendation. Not all anti-virus will impact the installation. You can try continuing with the installation despite your anti-virus still running.

We, at TI, use Symantic also and have not run into issues installing CCS while Symantic is running. Hence I don't envision issues for your installation.

    Thanks

  • Thank you. My error. The message box put the "continue" button off the bottom of my laptop screen so I wasn't aware I could continue. Thanks for answering on a Saturday!
  • No problem!

So from what I understand, the button was off the screen because the message box was too big for the laptop display resolution. This has happened before to others. We need to see if we can find a way to make sure the button is always visible.

    Thanks
