When trying to do Stack Usage Analysis, I get the error below:

What can I do? CCS V 7.4, this happens in Windows and Linux

Hi,

I really can't reproduce this in both OSes on CCSv7.4. Does this happen with a specific project or with all projects? If only with your project, does this have anything specific worth mentioning?

If you call CCS from the command line, does it output any additional information that could be useful to better understand this?

This is probably project specific. Would TI look at my project to debug the issue? It is a C++ project and it is relatively large code base.

To others that may be following this thread.

This issue was worked offline and the bug report CCSIDE-3389 was filed. Its status can be seen in the link SDOWP in my signature below.

A workaround is shown in the bug report and reproduced below for convenience:

Use the call_graph of the cg_xml utlities instead.
Download and install from:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Code_Generation_Tools_XML_Processing_Scripts

Issue the command:
C:\ti\ccsv7\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-msp430_16.9.6.LTS\bin\ofd430 -x -g file.out | C:\ti\cg_xml\bin\call_graph --func_info
