hi, i have using the tms320vc5509a dsk with the accompanying CCS V3.1 on a Windos XP OS. iam not able to create a new project, compile and build to its complete error execution, even samples projects from the given in the CCS.

if somebody could guide me through the whole step by step procedure, including how i can get the congiguration and cmd files.

coz error comes as " does not know how to build" so i think its some kind of a config file issue, I am not able to place the error,

somebody plz help me

I need to add a linker command file for a new project thaty i created. how do i have access to one or how do i create one and add it to my project

CCS 3.1 should have some examples for C5509 which you can use as a starting point. It may be that your CCS build tool interface did not install correctly if you are getting errors like "does not know how to build". You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling. After you uninstall using Windows Add/Remove Programs, make sure to delete the folder where CCS was installed before reinstalling.

If, after a clean reinstall, you continue to see build errors please send us the complete output from the build console.

For the linker command file, you can refer to those provided with the examples in CCS 3.1 and modify them as needed for your device/application.

Just adding to Aarti's reply, please check the FAQ entry below that talks about cleaning up the registry after uninstalling CCS.
