CCS/66AK2H12: GUI composer

Part Number: 66AK2H12

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I have some questions about compatibility between CCS and GUI composer.

I already installed ccs v7.1 and i am testing some codes with 66AK2H12.

and then i found that there is a design tool called GUI composer in CCS.

so, i tried to learn about installing GC designer.

1) but i understood that only GUI composer v2 (not v1) is supported by ccs v7 (is this correct?)

2) Also, i want to know whether 66AK2H12 is supportable in GUI composer v2 or not.

With GUI Composer you can create standalone GUI applications that are used outside of CCS.  In this case you could use either GUI Composer v1 or v2.  However if you are creating a GUI to use inside of CCS then you would need to use GUI Composer v2 for it to work with CCSv7.

66AK2H12 is not supported by the GUI Composer designer today.  Unfortunately there is no set timeline for this to be added.  Technically you could create a GUI Composer application for 66AK2H12 (assuming it was going to be used inside CCS and not standalone) but you would not be able to use the designer tool and would have to do all of the work in HTML5 and javascript.  It would be a lot of work.

  • Thanks you for your help.
I understood that the 66ak2h12 is not supported by GUI composer v1 and v2.

and i have an another question more,,,

    1) I want to know the arm/dsp multicore processor device optimized for GUI composer.

If I want to use a different processor (instead of 66ak2h12), I want to know which processor is best compatible with the GUI composer.
If you give me the answer to the above question, I will reflect your opinion next time.
  • None of the 66AK / Keystone class of devices are supported by GUI Composer. It mainly supports our Microcontrollers such as MSP430, MSP432, CC13xx, CC26xx, CC32xx, C2000, TM4C as well as some of our mmWave Radar processors.
