Hi Yordan
Thanks for the info and the link shared. As you mentioned , I hav CCS v 6 or higher installed , and the CDDS link does not work and a prompt emerges. I would like to try the CCS 5.4 v and then locate the simulator.

Srinath
Hi Srinath,
If you install the vayu simulator using the steps listed below, then it will automatically install it in default location within CCS.

Hi Anshu,
I have tried multiple times, but the issue remains the same. Unable to install the //xdctools// and also cant locate the EVE folder in the //ti// folder in the Computer. I will contact the local TI trainer for this issue and update .

Srinath
I was under the impression that it was installed correctly and you were able to use. What do you mean you couldn't find the required files to initiate simulation? Are you saying that you are not seeing the vayu_subsystem_simulator in the list of devices when you are trying to create a config file?

If there are errors then installation will not happen. Can you confirm that you have tried the exact same steps as I mentioned? If yes I would suggest you to try those steps on a fresh installation and keep the screenshots of the errors you are getting while installation.

Anshu
Hi Anshu,
I have followed all the steps you have mentioned earlier. After that only, these errors are generated.
I never opted for the CCS update along with the VAYU installation.

Srinath
Hi Srinath,
Just to be sure, can you confirm that all these steps you have tried on fresh installation of CCS?

Anshu
Srinath,
Sorry about the delayed reply.
Srinath Gopalan76 said:I have tried installing in another system too. Now it says Vayu Simulator not found.
Have attached a screenshot for this too.
In your last post, the update site you have specified in the "Work with:" field is incorrect. If you follow the steps outlined in this post by Anshu then the above error should not occur.
Now as for the error pop-ups that you had encountered earlier during installation, if that is still an issue that is preventing a successful installation then please zip up the contents of the folder mentioned in the error dialog and attach it here.
Hi Srinath,
I have a workaround for this issue, please do not go for updating the CCS 5.x, and you can install other tools/components separately, provide the path.
fortunately i was using 7.x and 5.x so some of the required components i used from 7.x that i had a;ready installed.
sometime antivirus plays role in installing the components, i had faced this issue you i dont remember the e2e thread for that, imade list of things to be taken care. anyway
please refer below links i tried something it may help you.

Hi Srinath,
The vayu installer is having a problem writing to the log folder for some reason, possibly a bug in the vayu installer. Could you please shut down CCS completely, and delete the contents of c:\program files (x86)\installjammer registry and try installing again.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Danish
Srinath,
I believe this time you shall deselect the xdctools and move ahead, most probable reason for xdctool here is it has some components from previous install or check if antivirus/firewall issue , i have faced this before but now i am good. simulator is supported till CCS 5.4.
Thanks,
mohammed
