CCS/CCSTUDIO: Build process hanging in CCS 7.4.0/ CC32xx SDK 1.6.0

I'm seeing a frequent, serious problem building a project that I had imported from an earlier CCS & SDK.

The first time I build the project it works, but subsequently the build process seems to block at "Migrating legacy project.."

I presume the project had already been migrated, and this is an error.

A modal dialogue is left open, blocking the application, which needs to be forced-quitted.

I'm using CCS 7.4 on OSX 10.12.6

to clarify - CCS now hangs after every second build and needs to be forced to quit.

Tim,

Generally disabling the indexer will resolve the issue. Somehow it is causing a deadlock.

Click on Code Composer Studio in the top menu and select Preferences.

Then click on "Show Advanced Settings" at the bottom of the dialog.

The settings for the indexer are here:

You could turn the whole thing off. I would start with unchecking the box to "Automatically update the index".

yes, thanks, it helped.. I had to turn off all indexing
