CCS: SYS/BIOS install does't allow to change path

Hi,

I've installed SYS/BIOS using Resource Explorer but it doesn't allow to change the installation path, it is simply put self to c:/ti .

This is a problem because C: is my SSD drive, it is for OS not for other stuff.

OS: Windows 10

CCS version: Version: 7.3.0.00019

In CCS 7.3 you can set the directory to which Resource Explorer should install packages from the Preferences menu.

Here you can add a new folder and set it to be the install folder.

This option is not working. I've selected d:/ti as default install folder but SYSBIOS still installed to c:/ti .

can you try with offline installer?
Also, i suggest, to avoid hurdles make one folder in "C" drive manually and install everything related to TI into the same, this way CCS configures some paths automatically.

I don't see the SYS/BIOS package available for download directly from Resource Explorer so I'm curious how you did this.

Thank you for clarifying. I can reproduce the behavior in CCS 7.3 where it always downloads SYS/BIOS to c:\ti.

I tried it with CCS 7.4 and the internal version of CCS 8.0 (which is expected to released in March) and the issue does not happen in both versions. In both cases, the directory selected in Preferences is honored. Please let us know if you do encounter the same problem in CCS 7.4 or higher.
