CCS/TMS320F240: How to disassemble the executable file of f240

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I instaled CCS3.3, and complied a test.out of f240, I want to disassemble the test.out .

I used the command : dis2000.exe f240.out, however it output : error loadding file.

How to disassemble the executable file of f240.

Unfortunately, there is no command line disassembler for the TMS320C2xx family of devices. The only disassembler available is the one built-in to CCS.

Is that means I can see the f240 disassemble code only when I connect the f240 hardware board？
And f240 is not supported software simulate in CCS？
I find that the dis2000.exe can disassemble the test.out of TMS320c2812.

You are asking two different things.

Do you want to disassemble an executable or just see the assembler that went into making your executable?

Yes, there is a standalone disassembler for all of the more recent compiler targets. I'm sorry, there was never a standalone disassembler for F240

It is more accurate to say you can see disassembly only when you are debugging with CCS.

Before looking into which CCS includes a simulator for F24x, I tried to determine which versions of CCS support F24x at all. I looked all the way back to CCSv4, and could not find any. Versions of CCS older than CCSv4 are no longer available.
