CCS: Queries on Debug Probe Performance Comparison on the TI Resource Explorer

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Some questions on the Debug Probe Performance Comparison on the TI Resource Explorer are:

1) Are the DSS scripts used to perform the measurements available for users to perform the same tests on their own hardware?

2) The graphs on the Debug Probe Performance Comparison which has been migrated to the TI Resource Explorer don't have the measurement units. E.g.:

Whereas the original graphs on the Wiki http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS_Performance_comparison do show the measurement units. E.g.:

  • Hi Chester,

Related to your second question, I agree with you. There is no measurement units under those graphs on TI Resource Explorer, but as the quantity is speed of loading/saving executable/binary file (.out/.bin) to the memory, either flash or DDR or SRAM for different devices, so the unit is KB/s.
Would you please take a look at link bellow:

Yes, they are available in section 5 of the wiki page you linked. For some reason I did not port these to the TIRex document - perhaps I wanted to have a better productized version of it, but I will probably link them in a future revision of the document.

Thanks for reporting this. The markup language used in the TIRex documents is, in my opinion, very limited and does not provide for a nice framed caption available on the MediaWiki. At any rate, I am looking at alternatives on how to display this in a more convenient way.

  • You are right,

Chester linked the wiki page himself.
I didn't see this link between those two images and thought he wanted to know what the unit really is.

    I'm sorry for that misreading.
  • Chester,

I was able to find a way to add the picture caption and just saw the page was updated on the server. Check it out.

    Hossein,

No worries; the information you provided was accurate. Thank you for your willingness to help.

    Rafael

I confirm that the picture captions are now visible. Thanks for fixing this.
