CCS: I have installed C5500 compiler, but when I want to create a new project, I can find any target about C5500. Thanks in advance!

I believe there may be a step mismatch the way you configuring the target,

I have CCS 7.4 and 5.4,I am able to see C5500 compiler, please refer below my steps and screenshot.

1. file-> new->CCS Project

2. Under family, i see c5500 and select it and then go for varient to select the specific soc.

I will reinstall CCS.

check if you can install specific components from the current CCS only. under Help->Install New Software ->available software sites and then add the website if not available there.

A complete reinstall is not necessary; the video I sent explains that.

Although your method works for some features, it does not work correctly to add an entire new device family - the compiler is one of the most important components, but there are other files required.

I added apr32 compiler with the same method, this may not work correctly for all.
I am totally agree with you ,Its good to follow the standard procedure as mentioned in CCS wiki and video.

The ARP32 compiler is a bit different as it does not require additional support - it is simply a core of existing devices (just like the PRU).
