Hello,

I've never used Code Composer Studio before, so please bear with me.

I am trying to compile with CCS v7 for a TMS320C6455 processor.

Hi Alexander,

If you are new at CCS, I'd recommend you to watch the "Code Composer Studio V7 Quick Tips" training videos at Code Composer Studio Youtube channel. The link is added bellow.
Another useful source is CCS wiki.

Do everything step by step according to these training materials. You will find the solution yourself.

It seems you got past your build errors and got the required package as mentioned in the thread below, is that right?

If you are still having trouble, please copy the output of the build procedure.

Also, in addition to Hossein's reply, please check a few other resources that may help you getting started with this device:

If you search e2e for "6455 Start CCS" you will find additional resources to get started that are very specific to the device you are using.
