CCS/CC3200: Unable to access DAP

I am trying to flash CC3200S launchpad suing XDS110 on board debugger. but I always get this error.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1170 @ 0x0)
Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 7.0.100.0)

Any help regarding this issue.

Hi,

Most probably the SOP jumper settings are misconfigured. Please check section 2.4.5 of the Launchpad User's Guide at:

www.ti.com/.../swru372b.pdf

Hi,

Error -1170 is mainly shown in case of CC3220S/SF is in production mode. To debug via JTAG/SWD is mandatory switch CC3220S/SF into development mode by Uniflash software.

Jan,

CC3200 does not have production/development modes like its younger sibling CC3220S/SF.

Re-reading the thread it seems there seems to be a mix of devices and capabilities.

To the OP: what is the part number of the board you have? CC3200-LAUNCHXL, CC3220S-LAUNCHXL or CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL?

Hi,

I think he talk about CC3220S LaunchPad because CC3200 LP have XDS100 not XDS110.

You may be right, but let's wait for the OP's response.

Just one correction: the CC3200 uses an ICDI debug probe and not a XDS100.
