I have two customers who have purchased CCSv3.3 licenses that would like to upgrade to v4.x. Where should I point them in order to make this happen? It is my understanding that this is possible.

Ki-Soo,
I was just helping a customer through this today and found this post. Is this the proper procedure if a customer purchases, for example, an OMAP-L138 EVM from LogicPD which comes with CCSv3.3 and they want to upgrade to CCSv4.x? If this is true, IMHO, this is as easy as it gets - the right solution for our users - as long as they can FIND IT.
One other side note, gee, it sure would be helpful if our 3rd parties had a bright "red" card that shipped in the box that said "IF YOU WANT TO UPGRADE TO A LATER VERSION OF CCS, DO THIS...". Or, maybe that is already happening. If not, I can just imagine our customers spending useless cycles trying to locate the info in your post above.
Thanks a bunch,
Eric

If they have an EVM version of CCS and are using the onboard emulation of the L138 EVM, they can simply request a free bundled license and use that with v4. No need to e-mail that e-mail list.
If they have a full CCS version with a valid subscription, and did not automatically get an activation code, then they should e-mail the list as mentioned above. This is also described here:

I'm not sure how these kits are packaged. But I would imagine that if they are coming with CCSv3.3, then there is no resource about upgrading to v4 (could be that the kits were put together before v4 was available).
