C6000 cgtools v7.0.4 : Are there any issues with combing objects built with -mv6740 with ones built with -mv6400+

This question is with respect to C6000 cgtools v7.0.4. Are there any issues with combing objects built with -mv6740 along with ones built with -mv6400+ in a single project or library? For example, if we want to reuse a fixed point library built with -mv6400+ into a 'C674x project built with -mv6740, do we have to rebuild the libraries? Similarly, if we have fixed point library built with -mv6740, can we reuse this in a project built with -mv6400+?

Will this work? Are there any caveats or performance concerns?

The C6740 is a superset of the C6400+. So, you can add C6400+ libraries to an otherwise C6740 system. But not the other way around. You do not have to rebuild the C6400+ libraries; they are object compatible with C6740 builds.

I cannot think of any other caveats.

As for performance concerns, I recommend you post a specific question on that to the C6000 Single Core DSP Forum http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c6000_high_performance_dsps/f/115.aspx .
