CCS/TMDXEVM3358: Resource Explorer not loading on Ubuntu 16.04/CCS v8

Hi, 

   I've recently installed CCS v8 on my Ubuntu 16.04 but when I try to launch Resource Explore all I get is "Laoding TIREX" message and after a while I see an error message. How can I fix this?

    Karol,

    Are you behind a proxy server or have a direct connection to the Internet?

    If you are connecting via a proxy server, in my experience these configurations on Ubuntu (and more generally on Linux) are really difficult to get completely right. Setting the proxy on the Network icon under the System Settings menu sometimes is not enough to get it properly working (details here) - you may need to set the environment variables http_proxy/https_proxy/ftp_proxy in your /etc/environment file (details here and a reference here).

    You can also try to get additional information by calling ccstudio from the command prompt - it typically outputs some debug information to the console, which may help track what is going on.
