after this step,my computer can find the xds100V2.But i can not download the code

  • Hi,

We here at the Code Composer Studio forum are not very familiar with IAR, but the error message indicates there is a problem between the IAR tool and the device drivers.

To try and validate this, I was able to fully download and run the GPIO_LEDBlink example code of the old AM335x Starterware 2.0.1.1 SDK on my BeagleBone White (same XDS100v2). The same device drivers shown in your Control Panel are in use on my system.

Therefore I don't know exactly what may be happening in your system.

Did you check if the TI emulation package directory is properly set in the project options?

Also, make sure the emulation package is properly installed and is a version that is compatible with the IAR you are using - to know the compatibility across versions, you will have to contact IAR directly.

Apart from this, unfortunately I don't have any additional ideas to further debug the IAR tool directly.

Once you move past the device driver / IAR issue, I see one additional potential problem at a later stage in the connection process: to avoid debug issues when connecting to the Cortex A8 core, make sure the SD card is completely pulled from its socket so it does not run U-boot/Linux.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • I use IAR7.20 , the debuger setting is different.

    And,the path is existing

so , shoud i update my IAR ?

  • Hi,

I really can't tell, since we don't support it in this forum. You need to contact IAR directly to verify the correct dependencies and versions applicable to the version you are using.

    Regards,
    Rafael
