CCS v4.2/XDS560v2

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6474

Currently we are planning for purchase of CCS and emulator for our project. We got confusion regarding information that CCS4.2 and above only supports the XDS560v2.so kindly clarify our doubts.

1. Is the CCS 4.2 officially released by TI?

2. Is the CCS4.2 and above only supports the XDS560v2?

3. Do that XDS560v2 supports TMS320C6474 along with CCS4.2

Not yet. Though it should be released soon.

It supports most of the emulators supported by 4.1, not just XDS560v2

  • It is supported by CCS 4.2. Actually I see it available in my 4.1.3 install.

  • Hi all,

I have some Spectrum Digital  xDS560v2 LAN + USB Emulators because I would like to automate the OMAP HW validation. I'm currently working with Code Composer Studio v4.x and as I know, the emulator type (and its IP address) is/are defined inside the .ccxml file and I would like to use the same .ccxml file (store in a network drive) for all the LAN emulators. The problem is that I don't know if it is possible to pass emulator IP address as an argument to the debug server that drives the LAN emulator?   Do you have any idea?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Khang

P/S : Sorry if I posted the message on a wrong forum because I don't know where else to ask

You need to have the IP address defined in the ccxml file. There is no way via DSS to specify the IP address of the emulator other than specifying what ccxml file to use. Sorry.
