CCS/MSP430FR5739: No source available for "0x4" when debugging in CCS

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I implemented a very simple program which reads from ADC and performs some float-point operations. However, when I try to use the Debugger of CCS, it suddely appear this message: No source available for "0x4". Any help on this?

In your case, the target is halted at 0x4 and there is no source code correlation with the loaded debug symbols

Hi,

But this error started happening when I added an extra __delay_cycles(500); or a new float variable. I don't think it's related with the lack of source code

The message No source available for "0x4" is due to the fact that the the target was halted at address 0x4 and there is no source code associated with that program address. That is the explanation of the message.

The question is - why did it get halted at this address? How did it get there? It does not seem like a valid run time address. Likely your code changes impacted execution of your code. This is something you need to debug.
