CCS/TMS320C5515: Code Composer Wont Send Project for Compilation

Hi,

I have a project for the C5515 which was created in code composer v6.x.

I have it imported into a new computer running Code Composer v8.1.0.00011.

I have the TI v4.4.1 compiler downloaded and installed now (I wasn't initially aware it didn't come with version v8 of Code Composer).

When I click the build button for my project nothing happens, there is no output from the compiler in the output window, nothing.

It is as if the IDE never sent the project to the compiler.

I noticed my imported project never has the project name in bold when selected too (see attached picture).

However, if I make a new project from scratch in v8 of Code Composer it will be sent for compilation when the build button is pushed.

Any thoughts?

Did you import using the menu Project->Import CCS Projects?

It might have something to do with how or with which version the project was originally created. Did the project build fine with CCSv6?

If you could zip up the project and attach it here we could try to reproduce the issue and look into what may be happening.

Yes, I did import using Project-->Import CCS Project.

The project builds fine in CCSv6.

Is there a way I can send the project directly to you?

If you hover your mouse over my screen name in the forum thread a pop-up box will appear where you can click on Send a private message .
In the message compose interface which comes up, use the paper clip icon to attach the zip file of the project. Thanks.

Our version control system was ignoring certain files, some of them being the project files.
After just taking the project from another computer and not the version control everything imported properly.
