CCS: Slow compile CCS6

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have CCS6 version 1.3.00033_win32 . When I want to compile only one *.c file (Build Selected File(s)) in my project ,it can takes 1min and 20 sec ,

When I running compilation with "C:\ti\ccsv6\tools\compiler\c6000_7.4.18\bin\cl6x" in command line it can take few second (~2sec) ,

Why it happen ?

Anyone have any ideas?

If can I change my project in order to compile more faster?

Hi Arik,
Are you passing in the same exact compiler option as CCS does when building from the command-line?

In any case, 1+ min is quite slow. Likely there are some other IDE actions occurring under the hood. If you have a large project, you can try disabling the indexer:
software-dl.ti.com/.../sdto_ccs_build-handbook.html

I changed the indexer option to be disabled but I don't see any changes in compilation time ,

For the build in CCS, where does it spend most of the time? What is the last thing you see in the build console before it gets "stuck"?

wow, i see you are building with -j 32. Are you building on a PC with 32 cores? Can you try disabling parallel builds and see if that has any effect?
