CCS/MSP430FR5969: MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I checked through the device manager and it says it is working properly but I still continuously receive this error. I have the MSP = FET430UIF debug - interface and using version 8 of code composer studio

I just had to re-plug the debugger each time it was not detected. Not sure why it gets detected and then undetected randomly though
