CCS 4.2.0 environment variables

The CCS 4.1.3 installation for Windows XP setup an environment variable TI_DIR, which we used with several tools.

When I installed CCS 4.2.0 this environment variable was not setup?  Did this change?  If so why?

I did not see any environment variable info in the release notes.

    Larry,

    I also noticed a while ago this environment variable was suppressed. Since it was never recommended to be used by anyone, its removal was done without warning.

    I am checking if this is the case or simply a bug. I will get back if I find anything different.

    The workaround is to manually add it to the system environment variables.

    FYI, usage of environment variables has been (mostly) eliminated because they cannot be relied upon in multi-installation, multi-user, and network install scenarios.
