CCS: Code Composer Studio Setup.exe contains Virus

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

VirusTotal shows FileRepMetagen [Malware] inside of the setup.exe from the latest CCS Package.

FileRepMetagen [Malware] should be an Adware -> do you ship adware within your packages?

    Michael,

    CCS does not contain adware. Looking at the report it looks like Avast and AVG had an issue with it. The other 65 scanners reported it as clean. One odd thing is that the file is setup.exe. There is no setup.exe in CCS. Did you rename this file? The installation program for ccs would be ccs_setup_8.1.0.00011.exe. In the installed image of CCS there is still no setup.exe.

    Hi John

    I meant the file "ccs_setup_8.1.0.000112.exe with "setup.exe", that was also the file, which was uploaded to virus total and renamed to setup.exe in their enviromnent.

    we will forward the setup-files to a analysit-team and let them verify the detection.
