CCS: Installing CCSv8 from command line in Linux

Hi,

I need to install CCSv8 in linux in a automated way without user interaction. I guess if I provide some options to the installer, e.g. ccs_setup_linux64_8.1.0.00011.bin, this can be done? What should be the right options?

    If you want to install all of CCS, you can do the following:

    ccs_setup_linux64_8.1.0.00011.bin --mode unattended --prefix <installdir>

    Make sure <installdir> is a directory you can write to.

    Also note, those are 2 dashes in front of mode and prefix.

    If you want to install part of it, you have to generate a response file but that requires you to run the installer in GUI mode. Let me know if you need to do so, and I'll update this post.

    Hi,
    Could you please also zip up the contents of the <installdir>/ccsv8/install_logs folder and post them here?
    I have a feeling your install path (/home/uda0869574local/yocto/tisdk/build/arago-tmp-external-linaro-toolchain/work/x86_64-linux/ti-ccsv8-native/8.1.0.00011-r0) is way too long, could you try installing in a short path? Something like /home/uda0869574local/ti is what users usually use.

    Please pass a full path to the installer with the --prefix parameter.
    e.g.:
    ./ccs_setup_linux64_8.1.0.00011.bin --mode unattended --prefix $HOME/ccs8

    HI, 

    I found out the problem. I was using the "Online Installer". After switching to "Offline Installer", it worked fine.
