CCS/TMS320F28027: Exclude from Build cannot be selected for unknown reasons. What to do?

Hi,

I run CCS Version: 6.1.3.00034.

I have a project, and I would like to exclude one file from a build.

File is not used nor referred anywhere else.

I go to Project Explorer view.

In the Project Explorer, I click the file that I want to be excluded from the build.

I right click and the pop-up windows open.

Here, I would like to click on the "Exclude from Build" option, but it is greyed out, and cannot be clicked.

let me know how to correct this, so I can exclude this file from the build.

Hi Vlad,
What kind of file are you trying to exclude (what is the file extension)? Only files relevant to the build can be explicitly excluded. Other files will not have the option (greyed out)

Hi Ki,

It is a *.h file that I am trying to exclude.

Yes, an *.h would not have the option to be "excluded" since it's "inclusion" would be dependent on if an source files reference it (or reference a header file that references it)
