Ti source compiler issue using Polyspace

Hi,

Please can some one help me for resolving this compiler error generated while trying to use MISRA c compliance for TI source in polyspace.

Here is the error message

C:\ti\xdctools_3_50_04_43_core\packages\xdc\std.h, line 160: error: identifier "xdc_IArg" is undefined
| static xdc_Ptr xdc_iargToPtr(xdc_IArg a);
| ^

xdctools_3_50_04_43_core is the xdc tool version that I am using.

Which tool emits this error diagnostic, Polyspace or the TI compiler? Whatever the other tool is, does it also emit the same diagnostic, or build clean?

Thanks, Actually my Ti source is getting compiled in CCS IDE but when I am trying to compile the same code in polyspace for generating MISRA c report I am experiencing this error in polyspace.

Your problem is with Polyspace, and not the TI compiler. In this forum, we only support compilers released by TI. That said, I will shed what light I can.

I presume Polyspace finds all the include files, or you wouldn't get this far. So, it is likely whatever include file defines the type xdc_IArg is included and processed. But for some reason, Polyspace fails to remember that type. My guess, and this is only a guess, is some problem with Polyspace itself. I suggest you visit the web site of the vendor for Polyspace, and see what support is available.

As an additional help in debugging, I just want to mention that xdc_IArg is defined depending on the compiler being used. I don't know how Polyspace works, but your CCS build will have a macro xdc_target_types__ defined on the command line, for example
-Dxdc_target_types__="gnu/targets/arm/std.h"

The header file specified by that macro contains a type alias that introduces the name xdc_IArg.
