CCS: Project Active Configuration

Hello,

I am using CCS ver 8.1

I have several projects under my workspace some are CCS projects and some make file projects.

for each of the projects there are couple of build configurations (debug and release).

When i am changing the active configuration for a project and apply the changes, i see that NONE of the project's files have changed to mark this update, as a result the newly active configuration is not saved under source control.

Can you please let me know where is the active configuration status is being save / how do i make sure it is save as part of the project?

According to Where does eclipse store Active configuration info of a CDT project? the active configuration is stored in a binary format within the workspace .metadata directory, as opposed to the project files.

However, the .metadata directory is not intended to be saved under configuration control since it contains per-user settings.

From CCS/OMAP-L138: How to set the default "build configuration"? a possible option is to manually edit the .ccsproject file for the project. I haven't tested this myself.

Hi, Thanks.
updating .ccsproject (if it works) still wont have with makefile projects - is there any other way.
This can cause lots of problems if not part of the project stored on source control.

I searched around but so far haven't found anything more than what Chester has already referenced. If I do find anything else I will post an update here.
