Hello there! I'm a newbie at this environment. I'm working on a project that was compiled using MSP430 v3.3.3 compiler and I have to make a few modifications in the code. The problem is I'm using CCS7 and I can't find compiler version 3.3.3 in the downloads list. With the updated version of the compiler, the code misbehaves. Please help me out. Thank you!

MSP430 compiler version 3.3.3 is 7 years old. It has never been tested with CCSv7. Combining those two could well create more problems than it solves.

I presume most of the errors occur before linking. Pick one source file that shows most of the typical errors. Based on that source file, submit a test case as described in the article How to Submit a Compiler Test Case.

I tried importing the project to ccs7 instead copyig the files and that worked. Now ccs7 compiles and builds the project using compiler v4.0.1 without any errors. Previously the project occupied 98% of flash memory of controller, importing the project reduced that down to 68%. Now it woeks completely fine. Thank You!
