CCS/CCSTUDIO3: CCS Import Project error -meta-data

Hello,
a CCSv3->CCSv8 migration is quite a jump. Unfortunately, the error message is not very descriptive. I assume you are using the CCSv3 legacy project import on the CCSv3 pjt file. Can you provide the pjt file so I can take a look?

Thanks. I was able to import the pjt to CCSv8.1. The new CCSv8.1 project default to the compiler that comes with CCSv8.1. I'm not sure what the issue is in your environment. One reason why an import would fail is because of missing device support. Just to confirm, you have C2000 device support installed in your CCSV8 installation?

Not sure if I have C2000 device support. Can you send me a zip file with installation.

Try creating a a new CCS project and see if any 28x devices appear in the list of available devices (in the below screenshot, I filter for '2808'):

I found it. So does that mean I have C2000 support installed?

yes, it appears that it is. What exact version of CCS are you using? v8.0 or 8.1?

Can you try importing the CCSV8 project I attached? Download and extract the zip inside: O:\Engr Jetpower\PCB\SOFTWARE\PWM Generator v1.1 - PRJ02

Then use the CCS project import wizard (Project -> Import CCS Project) to import the project into your workspace. Let me know if that works

Ok, that is good to hear. I'm not sure why the legacy import failed. The project I attached is the expected output of the legacy import. You can build off that project for now
