CCS/TMS320F2808: 7.1 Upgrade building error on directory path

Part Number: TMS320F2808

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

My customer are making a change in MCU (upgraded to TMS320F2808) and firmware.  They have been using an old 3.1 version of Code Composer and now have upgraded to version 7.1.  When they try to build their code, it uses the configuration in the makefile such as the directory path for the project.  If I were to build it I would get errors since it is not our directory path. It seems like a simple thing to change but we have not figured out the right way to build the project under my directory structure.  Would you be able to help me with this?

Thank you,

Errol Leon

  • Hi Errol,
Can you specify the error messages? Did the customer use the legacy project migration wizard to convert a CCSv3.x pjt project to a CCSv7.x one?

    Thanks

  • Hello Ki,

I tried “Import Legacy CCS v3.3 Projects…” . (is this the project migration wizard?)
It gave me a build error that said Product 'XDAIS' v1.0.0 is not currently installed and no compatible version is available.
When I deselect this option in the Show Build properties/general/product tab it then produces all the errors related to using the old directory paths.

    Thanks!

    Yes it is

Yes this is expected and the workaround you tried is the right one

Please provide all the errors in the build console.

    Thanks
