Compiler: C6000 Code Generation Tool 6.1.19

I'm looking for version 6.1.19 of the C6000 Code Generation Tool for CCS v4. This is not available from the typical down site (http://software-dl.ti.com/codegen/non-esd/downloads/download.htm).

Where can I get a copy?

Hi Derek,

You can install it via the CCSv4 Update Manager:

1. Go to 'Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install...'

2. In the "Install/Update" dialog, select "Search for new features to install"

3. In the "Install" dialog, select "Code Generation Tools Updates" and elect "Finish"

4. In the "Updates" dialog, unselect the check box for "Show the latest version of a feature only"

5. Expand the "C6000 Code Generation Tools" node and select "C6000 Code Generation Tools 6.1.19" and select "Next"

6. Follow the rest of the steps when prompted to complete the installation of CGT 6.1.19. You will need to restart CCS when prompted

That should be it.

My machine is not connected to the Internet because it is a secure network, therefore I cannot update using this method. I need to download the file and transfer it between networks.

Yes you can.

Also note that we had issues with our download servers over the weekend. The issue was just fixed an hour ago. Hence you may want to retry that download link again

I managed to copy the "ccsv4/tools/compiler/C6000 Code Generation Tools 6.1.19" directory from the original host machine to a new machine, and to refresh the list of Code Generation Tools (CCS->Build->Code Generation Tools) in the Preferences dialog box (from Window->Preferences). The project is now compiling without problem.
