CCS/CCSTUDIO-KEYSTONE: RTA in recent versions of CCS

Hello,

I am currently on a very old version of CCS (4.1.xx and 7.xx) for two different projects. And one noticeable difference that I observed is that the newer version doesn't have RTA (real-time Analysis tools) unlike the older version. Is this replaced by something with a different name or has it been removed..? Please advice. Thank you.

Hi Surya,
DSP/BIOS RTA support has been dropped starting with CCSv6.

If you are using DSP/BIOS, then there is no replacement. Note that DSP/BIOS has been deprecated in support in favor of SYS/BIOS. The equivalent tools in SYS/BIOS is RTOS Analyzer, which is supported by current CCS version.

I don't see it under view tab or under view tab > other > XXXX folders. The only option I see is under view tab > others > DVT > Analysis Dash Board. Nothing saying RTOS Analyzer. Should I install any additional packets for this option. Please advice. TY

In the CCS Debug perspective, it is under the 'Tools' menu. Note that your application needs to be a SYS/BIOS project with the correct instrumentation enabled. Is your application a SYS/BIOS project? Or DSP/BIOS project?
