XDS100v2 CPLD programming

I have a board with that includes an XDS100v2. The XDS100 portion was designed following the refference design except that it has the recommended changes to support using port B of the FTDI chip as a uart. I've tried the utility listed on the wiki but since the connections were changed to allow for use of the uart the utility will not program the CPLD.

Is there a way I can program the CPLD over the USB/FTDI connection?

I've read through the wiki. The part that you linked to describes changes which allow port B to be used as a UART. I have a board where those changes have been made and I'm trying to program the CPLD.

The appropriate section of the wiki is http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100#Q:_How_can_I_update_the_CPLD_on_my_XDS100v2.3F

but the changes which allow for use of the UART move the connections to the CPLD JTAG. Since SCK TDI TDO and TMS are no longer connected to the same pins on the FTDI chip the CPDL programing utility here will not program the CPDL. I am hoping that there might be a different version of the program which accounts for the revised connections or a place where I could find the source code for that utility which i could modify to use the new connections.

Sorry to drag up an old post ...

I have the same issue, we have modified the XDS100v2 as described and made the changes to add a UART. we need the source for the XDS100 update utility, I contacted spectrum digital for it but they have said I that I need to ask TI.

Can you provide the source for the XDS100v2 updater?
