CCS: Trouble Installing CCS Version 8.2.0.00007 Under Windows 10

I have downloaded the latest Windows Offline Installer for CCS8.2.0.00007, and the install keeps getting stuck early in the process due to the following error:

An error occured : error deleting "C:/Users/James Baughman/AppData/Local/Temp/ccs_7eaa0cfa-13ba-4a42-63d4-9b350994655d/ccs_error_codes.csv": permission denied

Note that I have disabled Windows Defender anti-virus and Windows Firewall, and unzipped the install folders before starting the install.

I would appreciate any help you can provide, thanks!

    Hello James,

    first of all, if possible, change your user name to eliminate spaces, white and special characters.
    Eclipse comes from old UNIX/Linux and some of its utilities do not like spaces, etc. within path names.

    If you cannot change your login name:
    1. download offline installer
    2. turn off anti-virus, disconnect network interfaces like LAN, WLAN, tethering via USB, etc.
    3. run offline installer with admin privileges
    4. select c:\ti\ccs820 or like this as an installation folder
    5. always create separate workspaces for different CCS versions.

    One additional detail: can you try to open a prompt and invoke the installer with the option --temp C:\temp (or something without spaces on the pathname?)

    C:\Users\user\Downloads\CCS8.2.0.00007_win32>ccs_setup_8.2.0.00007.exe --temp C:\temp

    That should help overcome this issue.
