CCS/TM4C129XNCZAD: Stack Usage Report has CCS frozen

I accidentally selected the Stack view in CCS ( 2 days ago! ), and it's got CCS completely frozen.  This is with CCS 8 (...something, can't check any more).  The cancel button is greyed out, so I can't cancel it.  I left this running overnite, and it was still running the next morning.  I killed the task and restarted CCS, and it goes right back to where it was... "Loading Stack Usage", with the cancel button greyed out.

This is on a TI-RTOS project file, if that makes any difference.

What's the Stack Usage thing supposed to do, and where is it documented?  I was actually just looking for something similar to the backtrace command of db, so I could find out where my program was doing when it occasionally hits _abort

How do I stop this fool thing, so I can get back to work?

    Hi David,
    This sounds a lot like a known issue CCSIDE-3348, which is and issue with CCS when the Stack Usage view is processing a large out file.

    It should be addressed in CCSv8.2.0. If you are not on that version, can you give it a try?
