CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC2650: error connecting xds110 to 2650 launchpad

Greetings,

I am starting into a ble project, attempting to run your demo.

I have a 2650 launchpad kit and xds110 cable (probably two years old, I admit).  I built the ble_sdk_2_2_2_25/simple_peripheral_lp demo, both stack and app.  Then I tell CCS to flash the board, but get a red fast flashing led and the error messages below.  Tried board reset and usb unplug with no change in results.
