CCS/CC2640R2F: CCS V8.2.0.00007 stuck on Launching debug session

CCS V8.2 is getting stuck on Launching a debug session, after successfully building the project it just sits on the 100% mark and never goes into debug.  If I try to close CCS the Terminating Debug Session window pops up but it never closes. I end up having to kill the program from Task Manager.  It was doing the same on 8.1, I was hoping that upgrading to 8.2 would resolve the problem.

I tried clean and rebuild, different projects, rebooting, and different launchpads (CC2640R2 and CC1350) with the same results. 

SmartRF studio 7 and Flash Programmer 2 both can access the launchpad so I don't think the problem is with the debugger probe.

    Would you be able to turn on the Debug Server logs. If you go to the Help menu and select CCS Support a dialog box will open which will give the option of specifying a location to generate a log for the debug server. If you could enable that, then run through the sequence to get stuck and then attach the log that may help us track down what is going on.

    Were you able to capture the logs so that we can try to figure out what is going on?

    As I have not heard back from you I am going to assume that you have gotten past this. I will mark this thread as resolved. If the problem still exists please reply back to the thread with the logs or start a new thread.
