    Thanks for the ping. This topic does need a status update.

    There is no user action required here. The license that we originally acquired the JRE under still holds and we are able to continue to distribute it as part of Code Composer Studio. That JRE is provided to customers under the terms of our license agreement as well as those in the manifest. Basically nothing changes. What changes is that we would not be able to distribute any updates, and you would not be able to update the JRE yourself (which we do not recommend anyway).

    So near term there are no changes. Longer term we will be switching the JRE that we bundle, but even that will be transparent from a user standpoint.
