Hello evrybody,

I’m trying to test the original example rtos_template_app_am65xx_a53 from (C:\ti\processor_sdk_rtos_am65xx_5_01_00_11\demos\rtos_template_app\am65xx\evmAM65xx\A53\template_app) on Cortex A53.

After load and run the project the template_app work only on serial communication terminal (look at => terminal.png),

On debug I don’t get main File I just getting same reports (loot at => debug.png and debug2.png) .

If some TI expert can kindly explain to me what this reports exactly means and how can I fix it , I would be very grateful

Hello,
The first debug message you see is informing that there is no source code correlation between that source file (spitest.c) and the loaded debug symbols. Hence source code debug with the source file is not available.

The second message is saying that the debugger is unable to correlate address 0x700227c8 with the loaded debug symbols.

The two messages are related in that the loaded debug symbols lack information.

As for why, the root case can vary quite a bit. The symbols for the loaded program could simply have been built without full symbolic debug information. I tried importing the project myself but I lack the device support for AM65xx. Do you know what I can obtain this?

Thank you for your quick response.As you daid here >>> I tried importing the project myself but I lack the device support for AM65xx<<<< do you mean maybe Processor-SDK-AM65xx Sitara Processors???? if my understanding is right, here is the linke to get staret the Processor-SDK http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/latest/rtos/Overview.html#processor-sdk-rtos-getting-started-guide-label i just followed the steps into this link to get that device support with CCS.

I needed to update Sitara device support to v1.4.4 to get AM65xx support. I was able to import the project then.

Can you provide your version of the imported example? Please provide the entire project folder (zip and attach)

Thanks. I see some issues with the generated symbolic information. Can you point me to the location of the gnu 7.2.1 Linaro aarch64 compiler that was used for the project?

Sorry for the delay. I am able to rebuild the project. The generated debug symbols do not seem to have much information, hence why the debug experience is poor. The project build properties seem set to generate debug information. I will need to follow up with some of the debugger experts
