CCS/CC1310: XDS110 (02.03.00.16) problem after update

Part Number: CC1310
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi

I am now, after the last update, running CCS 8.2.0.00007

After the update CCS wants to update the firmware of my Launchpad XDS110, but it fails.

Have tried to restart, unplugged etc. Have 2 Launchpads that have failed now what too do?

Then I try to debug I get:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -242 @ 0x0)
A router subpath could not be accessed.
The board configuration file is probably incorrect.
(Emulation package 8.0.903.4)

After the failed firmware update.

  • Hi,

Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce this. My CC1310 and CC1350 launchpads successfully performed the update and were able to connect.

Are you absolutely positive the code is not locking up the device? Error 242 is typical of a problem with the flashed code.

    Check : e2e.ti.com/.../2761294

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael
  • Hi and thank you for your response. It lead me in the right direction and a weekend of brain rest also helps.

I have a small shunt resistor to do battery profiling on my device, that was the problem :) while flashing the VCC drops because of the resistor.

But I did get a firmawer update failed also when CCS tryed to update the XDS110 that was put me on the wrong course.

    anyhow it works now. Thanks.

    best regards Thomas
