How to add an include directory in CCS?

Right click on your project and select build options.  Then for the compiler options select "include options".  At the top should be a way to specify include directories.  If you add your directory there it will show up in the "includes" folder and will also be searched by the compiler when you #include a header file.

thanks for your answer. But I'm still having trouble with that...I just can't find the option you're talking about.

When I right-click my project there is only the option "build properties". In there I can't find any include options. Maybe I'm blind? ;-)

No worries the build options dialog is pretty complicated.  Here is a screen shot.

Huh, my dialog looks a little different:

Somehow looks as if the GUI is broken... maybe this is a Win7 /64bit issue?

BTW: The dialog looks that way for the official TI Examples, too.

I have a problem that is associated with includes, and have been unable to resolve the issue.

I add folders to the Includes section of the project using the Include Options section of the project's properties dialog.

The folders show in the Includes section of Project explorer, and I can open the files by double clicking them.

The compiler however complains about not being able to open any of the files when it encounters the #include "filename.h" directive.

I am currently using CCS 5.3 with a legacy project that was imported from an old CCS 3.3 project.

Try adding the include directories via the Project build options for the C Compiler rather than the project directly.
