CCS/TMS320C6727: GEL Function for executing a specific function in software?

Hello,

I am running Code Composer 3.3 and I am looking into potentially running specific functions from GEL if that is possible. I did not notice anything in the current CCS user guide we have but I know that sometimes there are some GEL functions that are hard to find that someone at TI may have knowledge about.

Hello Vincent,
The technique I have seen in the past is set the PC to the start address of the function and then use GEL_Go/GEL_Run to execute the target.

Do you have an example of determining the start address of a function and placing it in the PC? I'm assuming this is simple when you have the symbols for the project loaded?

If the symbols are loaded, you can just do something like:

PC = myFunc;
